At the 2017 Clio Conference in New Orleans,
Jack Newton announced the Launch//Code contest with the goal of finding the next
innovation in legal technology. Pegeen Turner
was in the audience and immediately knew what was needed: a custom reporting
tool. Her husband was attending as well,
and she spent the rest of the conference telling him all of the reasons it would be a great product.
She finally realized that her husband had experience working with
reporting tools, and on the flight home to Raleigh they designed what would
become myFirmData, the first custom reporting tool for Clio.
One year later, myFirmData was on the Main
Stage at the Clio Conference presenting for the Grand Prize as one of
Launch//Code’s top-5 finalists. While we
didn’t take first prize, we met a ton of people who wanted better data and were
excited about our product. We vowed to
expand myFirmData Lite to handle firms of all sizes, and we have been hard at
work ever since to follow through on our promise.
What
started as a great idea for a contest entry has turned into a powerful tool for
lawyers to understand their law firms better. We hope you will let us put your firm’s data
to work for you!
